17 Boilermaker engineers named winter Academic All-Big Ten honorees
Seventeen College of Engineering students are among 77 Purdue University student-athletes who earned Academic All-Big Ten accolades in the winter 2026 sports season.
The total topped the previous record of 72 set last year. It marked the third straight winter campaign with 70 or more honorees from Purdue. The Boilermakers are now up to 124 total student-athletes on the fall and winter all-academic teams combined.
All but two of Purdue Engineering's winter All-Academic Big Ten honorees are on the swimming and diving team. Sophomore swimmer Caroline Frazier was one of 30 student-athletes across the Big Ten to have a perfect 4.0 GPA.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team (as verified by being on the official squad list as of March 1 for fall sports), have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
