Acclaimed as the “backbone of industry,” as Alumna Carolyn Woo expressed during her Commencement speech in December 2015, Purdue University would not be what it is without the incredible diversity of thought, background, and experience as we have here on this campus today. Our diversity in the College of Engineering is represented by such organizations as the Minority Engineering Program (MEP), the Women in Engineering Program (WIEP), and the International Student Peer Coaching (ISPC) program. 

However, this April will be the first time all three organizations come together to celebrate such diversity and talent and host an event with a variety of employers and alumni. Held the day before the Just In Time career fair, the students who attend the Meet & Greet will be able to network and make connections to learn from the esteemed professionals who themselves have made a career post-graduation from Purdue University. Already over fifty professionals are registered to attend, bringing total expected attendance to well over 100, an exciting prospect. This Purdue Engineering Meet & Greet will be the last on-campus networking opportunity for students this spring, and our goal is to introduce students from traditionally underrepresented minority groups who have still not secured a full-time position or internship. The event will be hosted in STEW 206 on April 12, 6-8 pm, and registration is required for all students and recruiters/alumni.
