The 2016 SURF program culminates with a Research Symposium, where participants will present their summer research either at an oral session or a poster session. This event provides a great opportunity for the Purdue community to learn more about the interesting and innovative research being conducted by undergraduates in various labs across campus.

The Symposium will be held in the Kurz atrium in the Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with presentations beginning at 9:00 AM. The Purdue community and general public are invited to attend.

Of the 147 students, 50 will give oral presentations and 97 will present posters. The research categories include material sciences, energy, sensing technology, earth and ecological sciences, biotechnology, nanotechnology, medicine and health, data and visual analytics, simulation, fluids, manufacturing technology, infrastructure, environmental sustainability, and computer engineering.
