Dr. Brandon Pitts
Dr. Brandon Pitts is an Assistant Professor in the School of Industrial Engineering, Director of the Next-generation Human-systems and Cognitive Engineering (NHanCE) Lab, Faculty Associate with the Center on Aging and the Life Course (CALC), and Co-site Director of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Center of Excellence on Technical Training and Human Performance (TTHP) all at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. His research is in the areas of human factors and cognitive engineering, human-automation interaction, multimodal and context-sensitive interfaces, and gerontechnology (aging and technology) in complex transportation and work environments, such as aviation, driving, and healthcare. Dr. Pitts? research has been supported by various federal agencies (e.g., National Science Foundation, Federal Aviation Administration, and U.S. Department of Transportation) and various industry sponsors (ZF Automotive Group and Ford Motor Company). He received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2010, and a M.S.E and Ph.D. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan (UM) in 2013 and 2016, respectively.
