The We Support Black Engineers Campaign was curated to celebrate and show support for Purdue's College of Engineering Black students, faculty, staff and alumni. This campaign pays homage to the Civil Rights Movement and to the historical I AM A MAN imagery birthed from the Memphis Sanitation Strike of 1968. It also acknowledges modern day racial injustice towards historically underrepresented populations, especially members of the Black community.
This campaign pauses to acknowledge both triumph and tribulations. It provides personal testimonies that aim to educate, help dispel myths and discuss meaningful solutions that will positively impact the College of Engineering. This campaign aims to show support, allyship and the power of what can happen when Boilermakers unite to make the next giant leap! We invite you to engage with these stories and join us on the journey to build a more inclusive community, together.
