Yuxin "Zoe" Liu earned a PhD from Purdue ECE in 2004. She has more than 25 years of experience in video compression and streaming technologies with companies such as Bell Labs, Nokia Research Center, HP Labs, Apple, and Google, contributing to innovations such as Apple FaceTime and Google Glass Video Call. A core contributor to the AOM/AV1 video coding standard, she introduced AV1 at Google I/O 2018 — a format now widely adopted across the industry.

Liu is CEO and co-founder of Visionular, leading the development of AI-powered solutions for video compression, enhancement, understanding, and streaming.
