Dr. Kun Hyuk Kang

Dr. Kun Hyuk Kang earned a PhD from Purdue ECE in 2007. He is currently a Corporate Vice President at Samsung Electronics, where he leads the next-generation GPU design team for system-on-chip (SoC) products. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, Kang has made significant contributions to semiconductor design and electronic design automation (EDA).

Prior to joining Samsung, he served as Principal Engineer at Qualcomm from 2013 to 2021, where he led the Computer-Aided Design (CAD) group, driving innovations in design methodology and productivity. Before Qualcomm, he worked at Intel from 2007 to 2013 as a Staff Engineer in the Design Technology and Solutions (DTS) organization, where he played a key role in developing and deploying a wide range of CAD tools. Kang also received a Master’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2003 and a Bachelor of Science from Seoul National University in 2002.
