Don Esses is responsible for LSI Logic’s manufacturing operations, which include its internal wafer-fabrication facility in Gresham, Oregon; Hong Kong logistics hub; and external foundry engagements. In addition, he oversees the company’s product and test engineering, quality and reliability, supply-chain management, purchasing, process development, and assembly engineering functions. He joined LSI Logic in 1983 and has held management positions in wafer-fab process engineering, product and test engineering, and assembly and test operations. He received his BSEE from Purdue in 1973.

Mr. Esses currently serves as the company’s key executive to Purdue and is reestablishing collaborative research ties and philanthropic support with the university. For a decade he served as the company’s Purdue recruiter.
