Keyvan Esfarjani
Neil Armstrong Distinguished Visiting Fellow (2025-2027)
Keyvan Esfarjani was the Executive Vice President, Chief Global Operations Officer, and General Manager of Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations at Intel Corporation. In this role, he led Intel's global manufacturing operations, including Fab Sort Manufacturing, Assembly Test Manufacturing, strategic planning, corporate quality assurance, corporate services, and supply chain management.
Esfarjani joined Intel in 1996 as an industrial engineer and has since held several leadership positions, including D2 Plant Manager in California for process development and manufacturing and Co-CEO of IM Flash Technologies, a joint venture with Micron. In 2016, he played a key role in Intel's internal memory manufacturing strategy, overseeing the rapid conversion of the Dalian fab to memory production in just seven months and the expansion of the facility in 11 months.
A Purdue University alumnus, Esfarjani earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial engineering and operations research in 1992 and 1994, respectively. He has been recognized for his professional contributions with Purdue's Outstanding Industrial Engineer Award in 2022 and the Distinguished Engineering Alumnus Award in 2023. He also serves on Purdue's Semiconductor Degrees Leadership Board, contributing to advancements in semiconductor education programs.
Esfarjani is hosted by the Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering and the Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
