David Spencer

Associate Professor of Aeronautics & Astronautics

Dr. Spencer’s background is in planetary mission design, system engineering, mission operations, and project management. Before joining the faculty at Purdue, he was Professor of the Practice and Co-Director of the Space Systems Design Laboratory, leading a research group of undergraduate and graduate students in conducting technical research in small satellite mission implementation, relative proximity operations, and planetary mission design. Additionally he was the founder and director of the Space Flight Projects Laboratory, a multi-disciplinary research lab that implements space science and technology missions.
