We will explain the basic concepts and experimental platforms in the quantum science and technology field and review recent groundbreaking results. This week, hear from Christian Lange, a PhD student in the Dept of Physics and Astronomy.

Lange will be discusssing organic dye molecules as a platform for coherent light-matter interactions. A high-efficiency source of identical photons is the building block for many quantum technologies, and organic dye molecules have shows promise as a competitive platform for coherent light-matter interaction. In this talk, Lange will give an overview of solid state single-photon emission and discuss the applications of organic molecules in quantum science.
