The research is clear on how stereotypes impede the participation and advancement of individuals from groups underrepresented in academia, especially in engineering. Here Engineering faculty share their efforts to address this through the development of mutual understanding, introspective awareness towards inclusion, improved mentoring and intentionality in recruiting and supporting diverse graduate students.
