Dr. Maithilee Motlag is an Advanced Material Modeling Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc. She received her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University in 2021. Her PhD dissertation titled 'Laser Shock Nanostraining of 2D materials and vdW heterostructures' presents a systematic understanding of the effect of laser shocking process on the van der Waals materials and demonstrated the modulation of mechanical and optoelectronic properties.

During her time at Purdue, she served as the President for IEGSO and President for IEGWG. She received Outstanding Service Award and McDonnell Douglas Scholarship for her active involvement and service in STEM outreach.
