The committee will begin meeting this month to study issues surrounding sports concussions in student athletes.

Their paper is titled "Design Paradigm for Robust Spin-Torque Transfer Magnetic RAM (STT MRAM) From Circuit/Architecture Perspective".

The four-person team of ECE seniors: Yi Zhou, Zuguang Xiao, Ross Ragsdale, and Aashish Raj Simha have earned a spot in the second annual Cornell Cup USA for their project, Table-It, a collaborative and portable conference workstation. They are accompanied by Dr. Mark Johnson, Director of Instructional Labs.

The award was in recognition of Professor Datta's online program "nanoHUB-U Fundamentals of Nanoelectronics".

Gururaj works with Professor Alexandra Boltasseva tackling one of the key challenges in the field of plasmonics and metamaterials: making low loss building-blocks.

The Executive Leadership in Academic Technology and Engineering Program is a core program of the International Center for Executive Leadership in Academics within the Institute for Women's Health and Leadership at Drexel University College of Medicine.

The RBPC is billed as the world's largest business plan competition, with 42 teams selected out of nearly 400 submissions. The teams will compete for a grand prize of more than $450,000 and an opportunity to ring the closing bell at NASDAQ OMX this fall.

Their group, Bearing Analytics, won the student division of the Clean Energy Trust's 2013 Clean Energy Challenge. The team will represent an eight-state region in early summer in the National Clean Energy Business Plan Competition, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy.

Seven ECE faculty were promoted to Professor, one was promoted to Associate Professor and one was granted tenure in rank. The promotions are effective with the 2013-14 academic year.
