Purdue's College of Engineering has named four research teams that will be a priority for faculty hiring during the coming year. ECE faculty members will lead three of these teams, and are represented on all four teams.
Those recognized were: Jan Allebach, Ragu Balakrishnan, Charles Bouman, William Chappell, James Cooper, Edward Delp, David Ebert, Gerhard Klimeck, Cheng-Kok Koh, James Krogmeier, David Love, Saeed Mohammadi, Jeffrey Siskind, and Peide "Peter" Ye.
The paper co-authored by Junil Choi, former USC researcher Vasanthan Raghavan, and ECE Professor David J. Love won the Signal Processing for Communications Symposium Best Paper Award at 2013 IEEE Global Communications Conference (Globecom).
Their paper is titled “Limited Feedback Design for the Spatially Correlated Multi-Antenna Broadcast Channel”.
He is one of six students to be selected under the "Bright Mind" category. The conference will be held at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), in Thuwal, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Professor Weiner presented the annual McCoy Distinguished Lecture at 3:30 p.m. Monday (Nov. 18) as part of his selection as winner of the 2013 Herbert Newby McCoy Award, Purdue's most prestigious research honor in the natural sciences.
