Non-thesis Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering

This program is a self-funded terminal Master's program and is not intended for students who are interested in research or continuing on to a PhD.

  • Up to 40% of the coursework can be done online by taking courses offered through Engineering Professional Education at Purdue. Registration costs for the online courses are separate from semester tuition and fees. (Special rules apply for international students.)

Academic Outline

This coursework only program is designed to be completed in as little as three semesters. As a student earning the Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering degree, your coursework will strengthen your competitiveness and knowledge in the biomedical device industry.

Learning Outcomes from the Professional Biomedical Engineering MSBME

  •  BS in an accredited engineering discipline or BS in life science or technology majors with strong math backgrounds

The tuition for the program follows the standard tuition for Purdue Engineering Graduate Students. The rates are published on the Purdue Bursar's website found here. This program is student funded and is not eligible for internal Purdue funding.
