Paul Mort

Professor of Materials Engineering

Dr. Mort earned his bachelor’s degree in urban community and regional planning and his PhD. in ceramic science and engineering from Rutgers University. He is a 24-year veteran of the Procter & Gamble Company and is the director of PRM3 Consulting, LLC.

His expertise lies in particulate processing and powder technology and solids processing, including milling, mixing, granulation and compaction. He is active in linking particle technology with adjacent technical communities, including pharmaceutical processing, materials science and engineering, and process control.

He is a member of the Center for Particulate Products and Processes (CP3) - a Purdue Engineering Preeminent Team - and is a consultant for the International Fine Particle Research Institute (IFPRI). Dr. Mort is editor of Powder Technology journal and previously served on the American Institute of Chemical Engineering (AIChE) Particle Technology Forum and as chair of the Particle Production Group.
