Jinha Jung

Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering

Dr. Jung holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in civil, urban and geosystem engineering from Seoul National University, Korea. He earned his Ph.D. in geomatics from Purdue. Before joining the Purdue faculty, Dr. Jung was an assistant professor in engineering and geospatial computing sciences at Texas A&M; University - Corpus Christi. He also completed postdoctoral appointments at Purdue and the University of Illinois at Chicago.

His research interests include unmanned aircraft system-based high throughput phenotyping for agriculture applications, high performance computing for remote sensing applications, multi-source remote sensing data fusion, and web GIS development using Free and Open Source Software (FOSS).
