A statistician by education, his scholarly efforts focus primarily on health services research. His recent work has been on long term care transition program from nursing homes to community and the value based reimbursement model for nursing homes used in the state of Minnesota. Methodologically he has been exploring the use of quasi-experimental design and simulation models to answer practically relevant questions using available observational data.
