Seungjin Kim

Capt. James McCarthy, Jr. and Cheryl E. McCarthy Head of the School of Nuclear Engineering

Dr. Kim received his B.S. in Physics from Sogang University in Seoul Korea (1987), M.S. in Physics from South Dakota State University (1990), M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University (1992) and his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University (1999). Prior to coming to Purdue, he was a Professor of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University.

His research interests are thermal-hydraulics and reactor safety, two-phase flow experiments and modeling, interfacial area transport modeling, two-phase flow instrumentation development and thermal-hydraulics systems analysis code.
