Paul M. Griffin

St. Vincent Health Chair of Healthcare Engineering and Professor of Industrial Engineering

Dr. Griffin received his Ph.D. from Texas A&M; University in 1988, his M.S. from the University of Texas, El Paso in 1985 and his B.S. from the University of Texas, Austin in 1983. He also has a B.A. from the University of Texas, Austin.

Prior to joining Purdue University as the Director of Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering, he was the Virginia C. and Joseph C. Mello Chair and Professor, School of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Georgia Technical Institute. Additionally, he previously served as the Peter and Angela Dal Pezzo Department Head Chair of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at Pennsylvania State University and was on the Georgia Tech ISyE faculty for 21 years.

His research focus is in the area of production systems: health systems engineering, health analytics, cost effectiveness modeling in public health and supply chain coordination. He is interested in developing and teaching courses in both healthcare engineering and supply chain engineering for the School of Industrial Engineering.
