Christopher Goldenstein

Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Dr. Goldenstein was a post-doctoral scholar at Stanford University where he received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2014.

Previously he was the director and co-founder of Lumina Diagnostics Inc., where he advised the development of trace gas sensors for biomarkers in human breath and develops software for modeling absorption and emission spectra. He is a member of the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics, the Combustion Institute, and Tau Beta Pi.

His research focuses on the development and deployment of laser diagnostics for studying energy and propulsion systems (e.g., scramjets, detonation-combustors, and shock tubes), high-speed imaging, molecular spectroscopy, and chemical kinetics.
