Antoine Aubeneau

Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering

Antoine Aubeneau completed his Ph.D. at Northwestern University in 2013 under the supervision of Aaron Packman, working on groundwater/surface-water interaction. He then worked at Notre Dame for two years as a post-doc with Diogo Bolster (Civil Engineering) and Jennifer Tank (Biology). The team studied conservative and reactive transport in artificial outdoors streams with heterogeneous substrates.

Dr. Aubeneau’s main research interests lie at the boundaries of natural systems and academic disciplines. He combines hydraulics and hydrology with biogeochemistry, geomorphology and applied mathematics to study and understand how "anomalous" environmental transport conditions water quality.
