Kejie Zhao

Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Kejie Zhao obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, in 2005 and 2008, respectively. In 2012, he received his Ph.D. in engineering science from Harvard University. Before joining Purdue, he served as a postdoctoral associate at MIT.

Zhao and his research team focus on the chemomechanics of energy materials using experimentation and multi-scale modeling approaches. He is also interested in the environment-sensitive fracture of metal alloys and mechanical behaviors of amorphous materials.
