Assistant Professor of Nuclear Engineering
Dr. Igor Jovanovic received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science from the University of Zagreb in 1997, and his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley in 2001. He has been with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since 2002 as a staff scientist, where he made significant contributions to the field of ultrahigh intensity lasers. He has been recently involved in the experimental campaign for fast ignition in inertial confinement fusion and in the development of novel Compton scattering-based gamma-ray sources for nuclear spectroscopy.
