Katherine Peterson
Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering
Katherine Peterson received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Univ. of Illinois and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Univ. of Michigan. While at the University of Michigan, Katherine's research focused on the control of electromagnetic actuators for which she received a Pre-doctoral fellowship award as well as the Mirsky Award for outstanding graduate student researcher. At Purdue, Dr. Peterson hopes to continue her research on electromagnetic actuators in both automotive and bio-medical applications.
