Dr. Inseok Hwang

Assistant Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics

Dr. Inseok Hwang joined the School of Aeronautics & Astronautics faculty at Purdue University as an Assistant Professor in August 2004. Dr. Hwang's current research interests are hybrid system theory, information inference of complex dynamical systems, safety verification, and their application to the control of multiple-vehicle systems, especially air traffic surveillance and control. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford in 2004; his M.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Korea, in 1994; and his B.A. in Aerospace Engineering from the Seoul National University, Korea, in 1992. From 1994-1997, he was a full-time instructor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Korea Air Force Academy, Chongju, Korea. Dr. Hwang is a member of IEEE Control Systems Society and AIAA.
