A record number of companies recruited students at Boilermaker Circuit this week. The event is one of the recruiting events that the Purdue University Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering’s Corporate Partnerships Program coordinates to connect students with our Corporate Partners. ECE hosted the record-number 26 companies in the Bill and Shirley Rice Design Studio on Thursday, Sept. 14 from 10 am to 5 pm. A continuous stream of ECE students spoke with company representatives about internships, full-time positions, or co-op positions. A smaller set of Corporate Partners are participated in the virtual part of the event that took place on September 15.

Milind Kulkarni, interim head of Purdue ECE, addressed the employers and the students, saying events such as Boilermaker Circuit keep the School going strong. He emphasized the School’s commitment to strengthening relationships with Corporate Partners.

Saurabh Bagchi, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Faculty Director for Corporate Partnerships, said the goals of his office are providing recruiting opportunities, catalyzing the research engagement between Corporate Partners and ECE faculty, and involving Corporate Partners in the classroom. Bagchi said in response to the demand for more recruiting opportunities, his office has finalized a regular schedule of two group recruiting events each semester. He also encouraged the Partners to take advantage of company-specific recruiting events that they can request from the Corporate Partnerships Office.
