Call for Proposals

What We're Looking For:

  • Proposals that are creative
  • Proposals that cut across disciplines, showcasing Purdue Engineering’s diverse capabilities and experiences
  • Ideas that are inspiring, exciting, and stimulating interest and curiosity both within and outside the academic community
  • Student-oriented, student participation
  • Potential keynote speakers and panelists
  • Ideas for using digital communications to extend reach beyond campus

Submission Guidelines:

Submissions should include an outline of the events or projects, including sessions and how Purdue faculty, staff, and especially students will be involved. The relevance of the issue to the themes above, the importance of the issue and the potential for Purdue Engineering’s engagement in the issue should be evident in the proposal (that said, we do not need extended discussions of the issue in the proposal).

Proposals must be submitted a minimum of six months prior to the planned event date.

Keynote speakers must be able to reach audiences who are not experts on the issue. Proposals should not exceed six pages (a one-page summary and up to five pages in the body of proposal).

The teams selected will work with the Purdue Engineering 150th Anniversary Committee to refine the proposal and to plan and deliver the event or project.

Send your submissions to College of Engineering’s Deputy Chief of Staff and 150th Anniversary Committee Co-chair Korina Wilbert kwilbert@purdue.edu or Co-chair Dr. Joe Pekny pekny@purdue.edu.
