  • The symposium is a great opportunity to network and share your experiences, especially with First Year Engineering (FYE) students exploring whether Mechanical Engineering is the right fit for them.
  • The Women in Mechanical Engineering (WiME) student organization will collaborate with the School of Mechanical Engineering to plan and execute all aspects of the symposium. The WiME student organization was formed in January 2023 and already has nearly 200 members including first year engineering (FYE) students, ME undergraduate students, & ME graduate students.
  • Data for the incoming 2023 Purdue ME class demonstrates an increase of women students from 16% in 2022 to 23% in 2023. Data indicates another increase to 24% in 2024. This symposium and the WiME student organization are making a tremendous positive impact for the Purdue School of Mechanical Engineering!
  • We are energized for a dynamic symposium and hope you will be a participant. All are welcome!
