Richard G. Kyle graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1988. He currently serves as president, chief executive officer, and a board member of The Timken Company, a renowned global manufacturer of bearings and power transmission products that he joined in 2006. Kyle's earlier career included management positions at Cooper Industries and Hubbell, Inc. At Timken, Kyle has held various leadership roles, such as chief operating officer of the Bearings and Power Transmissions Group. He also headed Timken's Aerospace, Steel, and Mobile Industries business segments. Under Kyle's leadership, Timken has grown significantly, with almost $5 billion in global revenue, as well as more than 19,000 employees operating in 46 countries. Purdue presented Kyle with a Distinguished Engineering Alumnus Award in 2018.
