President of Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems – with 13,000 employees

Jack R. Kelble received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1965. He embarked on his career at RCA, where he dedicated the first 14 years to hardware design, radar system engineering, and various engineering projects. In 1979, Kelble transitioned to Raytheon, where he spent the next 26 years leading teams, divisions and companies within the corporation. His final role, as president of Space and Airborne Systems, positioned him at the helm of Raytheon's largest division, with 13,000 employees and annual revenue of $4 billion from defense systems. Purdue awarded him an honorary doctorate in 2006.
