Online Plan of Study Details

The MSE/MS master's program offers a wide range of flexibility in course options. After you begin your studies at Purdue, an academic advisor will help you create a Plan of Study (POS) to best fit your educational needs and career goals. Every POS varies based on student interest, time, and course load. You'll start with select courses in an engineering concentration based on your goals, as well as courses in economics, IT, operations, and quantitative analysis. After completing the Purdue engineering degree requirements (30-credit hours), you'll transition into the MBA portion.

Your MBA degree will be a General Management MBA with a well-rounded curriculum across each core area of business. Students will have access to network with each other during the Kelley Immersion experience. You will complete your MSE/MS first and continue with your MBA; IU will handle your MBA plan of study.

For planning purposes, an example POS for the Interdisciplinary Master of Science in Engineering (MSE/MS) degree is available, as well as an extensive course menu that lists classes available over the next several years. You may choose one concentration (the ENML concentration is not compatible).

Details on Cost

Please note we do not list "total" cost of attendance as your tuition bill is based on how many classes you take in a given term, and most online learners start out taking one course a term.

The current cost for the Purdue courses is located here. The cost for the IU management courses is roughly $3500 per 3-credit hour course. These numbers may fluctuate over time.

Completing each of these degrees separately would result in more than 80 credit hours of academic study and costs nearing $100,000.
