'Nanoresonators' might improve cell phone performance

ECE researchers have learned how to mass produce tiny mechanical devices that could help cell phone users avoid the nuisance of dropped calls and slow downloads. The devices are designed to ease congestion over the airwaves to improve the performance of cell phones and other portable devices.

Three ECE Professors selected to participate at Frontiers of Engineering Education Symposium

Professors Mimi Boutin, Dimitrios Peroulis, and Maryam Saeedifard have been selected. The Frontiers of Engineering Education (FOEE) Symposium brings together some of the nation's most engaged and innovative engineering educators in order to recognize, reward, and promote effective, substantive, and inspirational engineering education through a sustained dialogue within the emerging generation of innovative faculty.
