Graduate Student Sumeet Kumar Gupta receives TSMC Outstanding Student Research Bronze Award

The purpose of the award is to recognize exceptional research carried out by graduate students. Sumeet received this award in the category of Circuit Design Technologies for his doctoral research entitled “Technology-Circuit Co-design and Analysis of Multi-gate FETs for Memory Applications”.

Sumeet Kumar Gupta, a Ph.D. student working with Prof. Kaushik Roy in the School of Electrical and Computer engineering has received the 6th TSMC Outstanding Student Research Bronze Award. The purpose of the award is to recognize exceptional research carried out by graduate students. Sumeet received this award in the category of Circuit Design Technologies for his doctoral research entitled “Technology-Circuit Co-design and Analysis of Multi-gate FETs for Memory Applications”.

This year, eight finalists were selected in the category of Circuit Design Technologies from all over the world for the competition held at the TSMC learning center at Hsinchu, Taiwan. Based on the innovation of research, technical depth and an oral presentation, four candidates were chosen to receive the gold, silver and bronze awards. The bronze award comes with a certificate, medal and a cash prize of 5000 USD.
