Unless indicated otherwise, sessions will occur in the 2nd floor conference room of the Martin C. Jischke Hall of Biomedical Engineering building (MJIS 2001).

BME Safety and Blood Borne Pathogen Training
Mandatory for all PhD and Master's thesis students

10:30am 11:30am Business Office Introduction
Mandatory for all Phd and Master's thesis students
11:30am- 1:00pm Lunch on your own
1:00pm – 4:00pm  

Boilermaker Challenge 
Meet at the challenge course.  Close toed shoes such as sneakers are a must and athletic-type clothing is recommended.  Also, remember to dress for the weather! Water is provided but we encourage participants to bring a reusable water bottles.  You will be outside for this activity.

IBSC Orientation Breakfast with faculty, staff and current students.
Required for new IBSC students.

Photos--Professional photos will be taken.  These photos will be used on the website and for BME and IBSC news announcements like awards, fellowships, etc.
Dress will need to be business casual.

Presented by Professor Joel Ebarb, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education and International Programs, College of Liberal Arts

10:30am-  12:00pm Introduction to Storytelling and Plagiarism Workshop
This will be the last piece of your Responsible Conduct in Research requirement.  You will need to bring in your signed form to our office no later than Monday, August 20th at 4:00 pm. (You will receive this form during the Plagiarism workshop)

In addition to the above, HR Staff Benefits will be offering information sessions to new graduate students at various times in August and September (times to be determined). The Office of Ethics and Compliance will be offering EA/EO sessions to new graduate students.
