The award is sponsored by NIST and Lab on a Chip in the conference MicroTAS 2016, which is the largest microfluidics conference in the world. He won with his image "The Rising Sun", a dark field micrograph of sweat advancing in a paper channel dyed with cobalt chloride dihydrate, changing it to cobalt chloride hexahydrate. He is advised by Professor Babak Ziaie and Professor Cagri Savran.

On Wednesday October 12, selected members of the Indiana Bicentennial Torch design team were privileged to carry the torch on the Boilermaker Special along with astronaut Dr. David Wolf and College of Engineering Dean Leah Jamieson. Representing ECE were student Gabriel (Gabe) Martini, Industry Design Projects Manager Todd Wild, and Director of Instructional Laboratories, Dr. Mark C. Johnson.

He is the founding head of the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering. On Friday, October 14th, the Purdue Board of Trustees approved him to become the Dane A. Miller Head of Biomedical Engineering. He is also Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Aseem Jha, a student in ECE, was the student candidate from the Republican Party who was elected to the City Council's new District 3 seat.

Many ECE students and staff made the Indiana Bicentennial torch into what is truly an Internet of Things (IoT) device.

He received the award through AT&T's Virtual University Research Initiative (VURI) program, which facilitates collaborations between AT&T researchers and universities. Professor Bagchi’s project began in 2015 and is focused on diagnosis and repair of QoS issues in a multi-tenant cloud.

The title of the paper was "Image Reconstruction and Threshold Design for Quanta Image Sensors". ICIP is the largest image processing conference in IEEE Signal Processing Society, attracting more than 2,000 paper submissions annually.

The name of his paper was "Direct model-based tomographic reconstruction of the complex refractive index" and was co-authored with Xianghui Xiao from Argonne National Laboratories and Professor Charles Bouman. Aditya is advised by Professor Bouman.

Dr. Park founded Enevate in 2005 and leads the battery research and development efforts. His design for silicon-dominant batteries represents a monumental advancement in energy density and ultrafast charging that hasn't been seen in commercialized batteries to date.
