Alexandra "Sasha" Boltasseva has been named a fellow of the Optical Society (OSA). She was cited for "seminal contributions to the fields of nanophotonics and new plasmonic materials."

Two ECE papers receive awards from IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion

Professor Dionysios Aliprantis and student Hugo Villegas Pico won first place for their paper "Voltage ride-through capability verification of wind turbines with fully-rated converters using reachability analysis" while Professor Scott Sudhoff and his student Grant M. Shane won third place for their paper "Design paradigm for permanent magnet inductors in energy conversion applications".
