Resources for Students on Probation

Author: Cindy Quillen
Priority: No

The Purdue Counseling and Guidance Center (in BRNG Hall) will be offering a discussion group for students who are experiencing academic stress.  Research indicates that students actually do better academically when they are able to talk with others about their course-related stress.

We will be offering three discussion groups for students who are facing academic stress, romantic breakup, and grief.  Here is a link to the Exponent article about the groups:  http://www.purdueexponent.org/campus/article_73b1789d-ebd8-538f-b796-7efc75d07753.html

To highlight, the group starts on March 3rd and ends on April 28th—and will be on Tuesday nights in BRNG Hall from 6-8pm and each meeting will start with a free meal.  The group will offer students a chance to meet with others who are facing similar challenges—with the primary goal being that they could feel some relief in knowing they are not the only ones.  Interested students can contact the PCGC at 494-9738.
