Weldon Faculty, Students Awarded by Indiana CTSI

The Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute has awarded nearly $3 million to a new generation of medical students and researchers at Indiana University, Purdue University and the University of Notre Dame to encourage home-grown innovation in Indiana. Weldon School student, Andrew Koivuniemi, and faculty Ji-Xin Cheng and Riyi Shi were each awarded for their innovative and collaborative work in the Life Sciences.

Weldon School's Alpha Eta Mu Beta Inducts New Members

In the fall semester of 2010, the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering began its own chapter of Alpha Eta Mu Beta - one of biomedical engineering's only National Honor Societies. Initially founded by Dr. Daniel Reneau of Louisiana Tech University in 1979, AEMB membership is offered to the top fifth of juniors and top third of seniors in biomedical engineering programs.
