School Faculty Awards

These awards are granted annually by the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The Gustafson and Instructor awards are announced at the end of the fall semester; Bruhn and C.T. Sun at the end of the spring semester.

The Elmer F. Bruhn Award

Presented annually by the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics to an Outstanding Teacher in AAE, selected by the undergraduate student body for excellence in teaching and made possible by the interest and generosity of friends and alumni of the School.

The W. A. Gustafson Award

Presented annually by the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics to an Outstanding Teacher in AAE, selected by the juniors and seniors of the student body for excellence in teaching and made possible by the interest and generosity of friends and alumni of the School.

The C. T. Sun School of Aeronautics and Astronautics Excellence in Research Award

Presented annually by the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics to an individual or a team of faculty members in AAE to recognize high quality contributions in science and engineering.

Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award

Presented annually by the College of Engineering to an individual faculty member in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics to recognize outstanding work in mentoring MS and PhD students.

Outstanding Instructor Award

This award recognizes outstanding instruction by AAE lecturers, visiting professors, and graduate student teaching fellows.
