Alumni & Friends
Purdue MSE celebrates around 2,000 living alumni with strong ties to our School of Materials Engineering and historic Metallurgical Engineering program. And just as Purdue Pete strain-hardens with his hammer, our strength grows with our collective work and overall network of connections—whether in engineering, science, management, the public sector, or a host of other fields.
As the Purdue home for nearly 400 undergraduate and graduate students, our School of Materials Engineering needs your financial support. While you celebrate your Purdue memories, your tax-deductible gifts (with anonymous to named opportunities) enable our School of Materials Engineering to:
- Help recruit and support the best and brightest students and faculty
- Strengthen our award-winning materials-focused clubs
- Add new equipment to our teaching and research labs
- Bring more students to conferences
- Invite world-renowned speakers to the School
- Reward the achievements of our outstanding students, faculty, and staff

Plan Your Visit
We know that many of you are eager to visit too. If it’s for a campus sporting or cultural event, or maybe to help us recruit a new generation of Purdue Engineers, we hope you’ll plan to drop by the MSE office in the Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering, Suite 2300 and reconnect.
Industry & MSE
There are professional ways to engage with MSE as well. Join or grow our technical consortia. Help facilitate equipment or material donations from your company to our labs and facilities. Participate in a panel or give a guest lecture in either our undergraduate or graduate class, check out our current events. Or recruit our outstanding graduates, coop students, or summer interns via our undergraduate blog!.
