The College of Engineering and the College of Science are preparing to roll out an expanded array of educational opportunities, combining theory and practical application and covering quantum computing, sensing and communications.

Hosted by Purdue ECE and the Electrical and Computer Engineering Student Society, the SPARK Challenge gives students an opportunity to move beyond coursework and demonstrate what they can design, build and explain. Projects ranged from embedded systems and robotics to assistive technology, interactive games, communications tools and student-led passion projects.

The Lambertus Doctoral and Graduate Excellence Fellowships are awarded to highly competitive incoming graduate students whose academic records, research experience and leadership position them to make meaningful contributions to Purdue Engineering’s research enterprise. Fellows are selected through a rigorous selection process and represent the very best of the college’s incoming graduate cohort.

Now in its second decade, MWCGT has grown into a leading regional forum dedicated to advancing both the theory and real-world applications of control systems and game theory.

Edward Stuckey’s objective was simple: create a powered vessel that was recognizably unique to venture across campus.

More than $100-million in funding, to be distributed among SCALE’s 35 partner universities, will help SCALE expand efforts to meet workforce needs in the microelectronics design and manufacturing chain through unique courses, mentoring, internship matching and targeted research projects for college students in several microelectronics specialty areas.

Zubin Jacob, the Elmore Professor in the Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), is only the third Purdue faculty member to be named a fellow and the sole 2026 Purdue recipient.

Davis’s project, titled “PTM-SEER: Software Engineering Foundations for Re-Using Pre-Trained Neural Models,” focuses on a growing challenge in modern computing: how engineers can safely, effectively, and efficiently reuse artificial intelligence models that have already been trained.

Each spring, Purdue University’s College of Engineering recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of graduate students and postdocs through several prestigious awards. Graduate students also select an outstanding faculty mentor who has gone above and beyond to serve the graduate students in their program.

The annual ECE Undergraduate Excellence Awards celebrate students who serve as undergraduate teaching assistants, contribute to research, lead and volunteer across the school, and complete innovative design projects that apply classroom learning to real-world challenges. The awards also recognize ECE students who have earned notable external honors.
