Highly Cited Researchers 2015 represents some of world’s most influential scientific minds. About three thousand researchers earned this distinction by writing the greatest number of reports officially designated by Essential Science Indicators as Highly Cited Papers — ranking among the top 1% most cited for their subject field and year of publication, earning them the mark of exceptional impact.

The paper was authored by Professors Alexandra Boltasseva and Vladimir Shalaev, visiting scholar Marcello Ferrera, and graduate students Nathaniel Kinsey, Clayton DeVault, and Jongbum Kim. The title is "Epsilon-near-zero Al-doped ZnO for ultrafast switching at telecom wavelengths". Optica is a new, high-impact journal dedicated to publishing only the most impactful work in optics.

The talk titled "The Physics of Flexible Electronics and the End of Ohm's Law', explained how percolation, phase transition, and fractals are helping shape the emergence of a new class of flexible, foldable, and light-weight electronics.
