A research team led by Professor Riyi Shi has received $1.5 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health to study why spinal cord damage often grows worse in the days and weeks after the initial injury.

Strange Honored as Top Advisor

A passion for sharing students' journeys -- and maybe some brownies or lasagna -- has provided constant motivation for Truda Strange, the 2012 Outstanding Academic Advisor as named last week by the Purdue Academic Advising Association (PACADA). Strange is the undergraduate academic advisor in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering.
