Power Magnetic Material Toolbox 1.0
The Power Magnetic Material Toolbox 1.0 is a Matlab based code containing routines to support the design of power electromagnetic and electromechanical devices such as inductors, transformers, motors, and generators. The routines encapsulate many of the electrical, thermal, and magnetic properties of conductors and magnetic materials. In the case of magnetic materials, users should recognize that processing steps can have a significant effect on material properties. The information from these routines is directly compatible with Purdue's Magnetic Equivalent Circuit Toolbox and Thermal Equivalent Circuit Toolbox.
The toolbox was developed under a variety of sponsors and contracts which include the Office of Naval Research through the Electric Ship Research and Development Consortium ONR Grant N00014-08-1-0080 as well as ONR Grant N00014-08-1-0397. It has been at use at Purdue for several years to support the design of magnetic components such as inductors as well as electric machinery.
The PMM Toolbox is coordinated by S.D. Sudhoff. Note that individual user questions cannot be supported as the code is distributed at no cost. However, error reports or comments to improve future versions are welcome.
The PMM Toolbox is free software: it can be redistributed and/or modified under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation, either version 3 of the License, or (at your option) any later version.
