Purdue University grad student awarded a Cadence Diversity in Technology Scholarship

Vincius Cabral do Nascimento, a graduate student in Purdue University’s Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has been selected as a recipient of Cadence’s Diversity in Technology Scholarship for 2023.

Vinícius Cabral do Nascimento, a graduate student in Purdue University’s Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has been selected as a recipient of Cadence’s Diversity in Technology Scholarship for 2023.

Cadence has a mission to build a culture that fosters inclusion and embraces diverse backgrounds, experiences, and ideas. The diversity of technology scholarship program was created to support this mission. Recipients of the scholarship must demonstrate a strong academic record and exemplify leadership and demonstrate passion in technology.

Each awardee is pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, and electronic engineering. They were selected based on leadership skills, recognition of accomplishments, endorsement from professors, and drive to shape the world of technology.

According to his award letter, Cabral do Nascimento’s “impressive academic achievements, thoughtful recommendations, and drive to shape the future of technology set (him) apart from the many talented students” considered by Cadence.

The scholarship is for $5,000. Cabral do Nascimento is advised by Prof. Dan Jiao.
