Name and location of company where you are on co-op: Tesla in Palo Alto, California

What are your job duties?

Supporting ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) safety testing and creating different tooling fixtures for safety testing.

What did you hope to gain from this experience?

I wanted to learn more about the automotive industry, in particular EVs, because they’re helping the world go towards a greener future. I hope to gain experience not only in general electronic principles, but also experience in testing vehicles and safety protocols.

Have you completed other co-op sessions as a Purdue ECE student?

Before Tesla, I completed two co-op rotations at GE Appliances in Range Electronics and the prototype division, Firstbuild. In addition, before my co-ops at GE Appliances, I interned at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center as an Attitude Control Systems Intern.

What is your ultimate career goal?

My ultimate career goals are to work either in the automotive, microelectronics, or defense industry!
