Job duties: I work on the Government Systems EDS Flight Management Systems Team. I worked on the flight management systems application for the C295 and CL604 aircraft as a flight deck engineer. Using Agile methodology, I performed software testing and analysis by writing Python scripts meeting safety critical DO-178B standards. Used flight deck equipment to create flight plans and verify tests, as well as gain a high level understanding of the system architecture. I was also a member of the Social Committee where I worked with Co-Ops across different departments to plan events for the student employees.

Why did you want to do this co-op/What do you hope to gain from the experience? I wanted to do this co-op because I have a passion in aviation and I wanted to apply what I learn in the classroom to industry. I hope to gain valuable experience that will add a new dynamic to my learning experience.

What are your ultimate career goals? My ultimate career goals are to work in the aviation industry on a systems engineering team.
