PhD student Mark Hickle has received the Best Student Conference Paper Award at the 17^th Annual IEEE Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference (WAMICON), held April 11-13 in Clearwater Beach, FL. The conference addresses up-to-date multidisciplinary research needs and interdisciplinary aspects of wireless and RF technology.

The award was presented for the paper entitled "Design and Implementation of an Intrinsically-Switched 22-43 GHz Tunable Bandstop Filter". The co-authors of the paper are Manufacturing Engineer and Process Development Manager Michael Sinanis and Professor Dimitrios Peroulis.
